I am unimpressed myself. Sure, get rid of the buddy bubbles, I never did them anyways. Change levels so the higher level players have more lower level players to trounce, fine. The salvage changes though? Salvages are the whole economic base of the game, make them so hard that none of the lower levels can get salvage, and youve effectively killed the game.
Im told the 55s dont have laser. I havent found any yet, so cant verify that. I know the 45s and the 65s do though. New sub gets the job done, just not without being damaged while submerged.
Either way, doesnt change the point about the salvs being the economic base of the game. If people cant get salvs, you cant raid their base for salvs/reserves because they dont have any.

Yes, I cut and pasted it from the FB forum, sue me.

I for one am more than happy with it.  No more frubblers!  I also tested a few salvs as well to see what all the fuss was about.  Lone behold I was able to take level 55 with zero damage.  Man up people this update is great!

New Infraction System Info for KIXEYE Forums

Recently, the built in "Infraction System" for the forums has been enabled for moderators and KIXEYE employees to use against those who break rules. This should help mellow down the forums and keep members in check a little better than outright suspensions. It also gives the volunteer mods a little more bite. The goal here is so bans/suspensions don't have to be given out as regular punishment, because no one really wants to be banned and KIXEYE CM's don't really want to ban anybody.

The system works as follows:

Warnings
For most first offenses, warnings will be given to a rule breaker. However, infractions may be given initially depending on the severity of the post. This is for the discretion of the moderators and KIXEYE CM's. Warnings do not count as "points," which will be explained later. They are simply a warning to not do something again. Ignoring a warning will likely earn an infraction, even if the "rule break" is not severe.

Infractions
Infractions are given to posts that are breaking the rules, and each vary in number of points.
This is the list of infractions that are given:

-Inappropriate Language: 1 point This can mean a number of different things. Including, but not limited to: swearing, sexual comments, and slanderous comments. Swearing in excess is the main point here.
-Insulted other Member(s): 1 point This covers a wide range and is quite vague to be honest. Trash-talking in the War Room, Stomp the Yard, and Battleground will be on the more lenient side, but err on the side of caution. Be "civil" about it, as much civility there is in trash-talking.
-Member Spamming: 1 point This covers those who decide to post things repeatedly, spammy or useless posts like "In before lock/delete" or "bumps" and variations of them, or continuing a post or thread after it has been closed or deleted. Again, this is the discretion of the moderators and KIXEYE CM's to give warnings or infractions.
-Signature Rule Violation: 1 point This covers those who post inappropriate things or things that break the rules in their signatures. If an infraction or warning is given for this, it would be wise to quickly change the specified piece. The moderators and KIXEYE CM's will try to point out the piece that is inappropriate.
-Boycott: 2 points Self-explanatory. Anything organized with the intent to protest any KIXEYE games is not allowed and will not be tolerated. This includes "coin blackouts" and anything related.
-Insulting Moderators or KIXEYE Employees: 2 points This one is self explanatory and will likely result in an infraction whether or not it is the first offense. Insulting KIXEYE as a whole would fall under this category.
-Promoting Cheating or Hacking: 2 points Again, self-explanatory, don't do it. Severe instances could result in a permanent ban from KIXEYE forums and possibly KIXEYE games as well.
-Spambot: 3 points This is only used for spambots, obviously. It is a permanent ban and is included here just to be complete.

Infraction Points System
Infractions, not warnings, give points to members. The point values are shown in red italics above. The point system works as follows:

-Points last 10 days, and expire after that time period.
-3 points during a 10 day period will result in a 3 day suspension.

How do I know that I got an Infraction or Warning?
If you have received an infraction/warning you will receive a Personal Message, which can be viewed by clicking the "Inbox" or "Settings" tab at the top right of your screen. This is what warning and infraction messages should relatively look like:

good thing we dont have those here :P

This update has really brought all the previous frustration with Kixeye that's been building up for months to a head. It doesn't matter whether people can now salvage nearly as easily as before (since the nerf). It doesn't matter that the shortened bubble times screw over many players having not enough time to repair. It's just everyone's fed up with Kixeye's insatiable greed and dozens per sector seem to be checking out, and not just low levels. Kixeye is very upset about the boycott, which is why they predictably outlawed talking about it on the forums. Maybe BP won't die entirely, but I don't think it's ever going to be the fun it used to be.
I'm in World of Warplanes closed beta, and I believe World of Warships gonna be plenty popular next year. Would be cool if each player had a base like in BP, or part of one, but I think it's just going to be action--fight, get xp, upgrade, fight, use xp to accumulate more ships, upgrade, and fight. (Oh, and the graphics: just the water puts Kixeye to shame.)

Don't know about Kixeye's community contributions, but I thought this is worth mentioning, as I happened to see this looking at their job offers:

Wargaming America is also committed to working with foundations and charities throughout North America and the world to give back to veterans and further the preservation of military history, including most recently a partnership with the USS IOWA, as well as the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation in Portola, Calif. and The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, La., on military history and education initiatives.
